Vintage 1940’s Housecoat with Red & Cream Triangle Pattern and Scallop Edge Detail – S

Beautifully tailored vintage 1940’s midi length red housecoat with a lovely mini triangular motif pattern in cream. The garment has wonderful detailing which includes pretty scallop edging in cream that features at the front and back with inverse pleating that is cinched in by pretty bows at waist level. Further scallop detail continues at the collar and cuff edges. The housecoat fastens via an inner tie and two outer fabric covered buttons.
We have sized the garment as a size S and although there is no fabric label, the garment could be made from a lightweight acetate type fabric.
There are a few small faint marks in parts and two very tiny holes at the bottom hem which are barely noticeable. The housecoat is otherwise in fantastic condition for it’s age – a wonderful vintage gem to behold!

How We Measure
Dresses
| Chest | Measurement from underarm to underarm then doubled for correct sizing. You can measure this by wrapping the tape around the fullest part of your chest. |  |
| Waist | Measurement is taken from the narrowest part of the waist then doubled for correct sizing. Where the waistband is elasticated we will measure it stretched in proportion to the garment.
