Vintage 80’s Floaty Blue & Green Midi Dress with Stripes, Polka Dots & Diamantes – S/M

Vintage 1980’s floaty royal blue and green strapless midi swing dress with a semi sheer overlay at the top featuring pretty pleating & batwing sleeves, a curvy polka dot pattern & striking diamante embellishments.
The dress is elasticated at the top via lovely emerald green piping that sits above the chest area (to enable it to be worn strapless) and this measures 28″ non stretched and up to 37″ when stretched to a width that doesn’t distort the intended shape of the dress.
The fabric at the chest area is gently gathered and unstructured so there isn’t a precise chest measurement. However we would say that the maximum chest width would be 38″ in order to maintain the intended cut of the dress.
The waist is also subtly elasticated and we have provided measurements of the garment non stretched and also stretched without distorting the overall intended shape. There is also a lovely wrap around belt in matching fabric.
The size label states an Italian 44. Given the handy(!) elasticated elements of the dress we have sized the dress as between a size S and M.
There is no fabric label, however the dress is probably a man made fabric and has a lovely lightweight summery feel to it.

How We Measure
Dresses
| Chest | Measurement from underarm to underarm then doubled for correct sizing. You can measure this by wrapping the tape around the fullest part of your chest. |  |
